GLWS · Wholesale model

Thin margins.
High volume.

GLWS stands for Global Layer Wholesale Services. We price like a wholesaler: a small margin on many servers, passed on as lower prices.

What wholesale means here.

The idea in plain words.

Most hosting is priced from the top: add features, support tiers and branding, then add a margin on each. We start from the other end. We aim for a small margin on each server and make it up in volume.

That is why plans start at £0.99 a month, and why each plan page lists its CPU, memory, storage and transfer up front. We do not publish margin figures, and we will not claim savings we cannot show.

In short

  • Small margin on each plan.
  • Large volume across many plans and locations.
  • Clear specifications beside every price.
  • Guides in place of marketing.

What it means for you.

Three practical effects.

Lower prices

Savings come from the model, not from hiding things. Compare specifications row by row on the pricing page.

Plain plans

You choose resources, a location and an operating system. What is included is listed on each plan page.

Knowledge, not hand-holding

We write detailed Linux guides so you can look after your own server. See the knowledge base.

FAQ

Questions.

Short answers.

What does GLWS stand for?

Global Layer Wholesale Services. GLWS is the short form we use throughout this site.

Is cheap the same as low quality?

Price and quality are separate. We keep prices low through margin and volume, and we publish specifications so you can judge for yourself.

Where can I see the prices?

On the pricing page, and on each product page.
