GOOD TO KNOW
The decisions that matter before you pick a size.
Browse the application pages, follow each publisher's documentation and decide how you will handle updates and data.
An app often needs a database, background workers, storage and a reverse proxy. Plan for all of it, not just the main process.
Store API keys outside public repositories and limit what agents and automation tools can reach.
Pick one your software supports, with security updates. Windows images come with separate licence terms.
Keep a copy off the server. Snapshots and redundant storage are not a substitute for an independent, tested backup.
Write down your open ports, public services and who can log in. Keep only the access you need.
MANAGEMENT
Power, reinstall and console controls in one panel.
GLWS Manager puts power, reinstall and console controls in one panel. Explore it, no login needed.

FAQ
Quick answers before you choose a plan.
No. Choosing an application only records your preference. Each application page links to the publisher's own deployment guide.
No. These are CPU-only plans and do not include model-provider credits. Large local models need far more memory and often a GPU.
A virtual private server (VPS) is a virtual machine on a shared physical host. You get your own operating system, root access, memory, storage and IP address, at a fraction of the cost of a whole server.
GLWS VPS plans start at £0.99 a month. The VPS pricing page lists every plan, monthly and annual.
A VPS shares a physical host and suits most websites, applications and development. A dedicated server is a whole machine for heavy or steady workloads. See GLWS dedicated servers.
Choose from Linux and BSD images, or Windows Server on the Windows VPS plans. See the VPS operating systems page.
List the application, database and background processes you will run. Estimate memory and storage together, then leave headroom for updates, logs and busy periods.
Pick a plan to open the configurator, then choose your operating system, location and billing period and continue to the review step. You can change any choice before you continue.

GUIDES
Step-by-step guides for running models and AI tools on your own server.
Install Ollama, pull a small quantised model, measure its real speed on your plan and keep the API private to the server.
Read guide →Work out how much memory, disk and CPU a quantised model needs, then test on a small plan and measure before you upgrade.
Read guide →Run a private ChatGPT-style interface and Ollama in one Compose project, publish it on localhost only and lock down sign-ups.
Read guide →Keep AI services off the open internet: bind to localhost, avoid the Docker firewall bypass, add authentication and verify from outside.
Read guide →Store and search embeddings on your own server with Qdrant in Docker or the pgvector extension, keep it private and test with a tiny dataset.
Read guide →Keep API keys out of code, load them through systemd, set timeouts, retries and spending limits, and rotate a key that leaks.
Read guide →Run the LiteLLM proxy with Docker Compose, keep your provider keys in one place, issue limited virtual keys and put the gateway behind HTTPS.
Read guide →Install OpenClaw as an unprivileged user, run its gateway as a service, keep the control interface private and limit who and what the assistant can reach.
Read guide →Install OpenCode, connect a model provider, keep it inside a project with permission rules, work from tmux and use headless mode safely.
